JULY 2024
We will be holding our popular "Proms in the Park" on Saturday 20th July, at 6.30 pm, at Wellington Park. There will be a wide ranging programme suitable for all ages and culminating in the traditional "Proms" pieces. Entry is free and there will be a BBQ and bar available, or why not bring along a picnic? Don't forget to bring along a chair or a blanket and a flag to wave during the concert. Be prepared to sing along, clap, dance (if you so wish) and generally have a good time.

Another brilliant concert in aid of Red Cross Turkey/Syria appeal was held on Saturday 1th April evening. The Band together with The Wyndham Singers played a varied and entertaining concert to a crowded St John's Church in Wellington, Somerset. A really great evening enjoyed by performers and audience alike. Over £900 was raised for the appeal.

The band played to a really great audience at Blenheim Park in Minehead on Sunday 25th June 2023. It was the largest and most ethusiastic audience we have played to in the park. The sun shone and the Band really did themselves proud. Our solo Euphonium player Nick did a truly wonderful job as MC, mixing information about the pieces we were to play with wit and humour. A great day!
Sunday 20th August. Wellington Park Concert.
We had a great concert at Wellington Park today. The weather was kind to us and everyone enjoyed
themselves. The Band played well under the Baton of our Guest conductor Ann Bartholomew who was
presented with a Bouquet of flowers by our Chairman Phil Hutchings.
Wonderful organisation by Friends of Wellington Park made the day perfect.
The Band are delighted that our 'rained off' Proms Concert has been moved to St Lukes Church, Milber,
Newton Abbot on 7th October. 7pm.
